Farmacia Las Morlaquitas

Project Overview

A corner pharmacy. In a neighborhood. People come here. They know the names of the pharmacists. They know the place. The front is glass. You see inside. You see the medicines. You see the care happening. The walls are brick and concrete. Simple materials. Honest. The corner is open. Generous. It says: come in. We are here for you. The design is quiet. It doesn't shout. It just works. It lets the neighborhood live around it. It serves. It becomes part of the block.

Design Approach

Glass on one side. Brick on the other. That's the idea. The front opens. The people inside are visible. The medicines are visible. The activity is visible. The back walls are solid. Brick. Concrete. They hold the space. They keep it cool in summer. They give weight. Presence. The materials don't pretend. They are what they are. A brick is a brick. Concrete is concrete. Glass is glass. This honesty makes the space trustworthy. You see what you get. And that matters in a pharmacy. It matters in a neighborhood. Simple materials. Local craft. A place that says: we are real. We are here. We care.

A pharmacy should also be beautiful.
